Hormone Free Beef: Unique Pinzgauer cattle known for their tender and tasty beef !

The Pinzgauer breed is one of the oldest breeds in the world. The breed is not a cross of any breed, but can trace genetics back to the 1600's. They originated in the Alpine region of Europe. The special enzyme make-up of the breed produces some of the most tender beef possible, without the heavy marbling and fat cover found in other breeds. Studies have shown that Pinzgauer beef often test the most tender on the Warner-Bratzler Shear Force test when tested against other breeds including Angus. In the same study, on sensory panel scores, Pinzgauer scored the highest in flavor of all breeds tested and among the highest in juiciness.

We sell beef by Quarters. Our pricing is based on carcass weight @ $2.75/ lb. All processing and delivery charges are included.
For example a 700 lb beef  carcass X $2.75 = $1,925.00 delivered to you. Most people do not want that much so we do also sell in quarters. In this instance, a quarter (or half of a half) of beef would cost $481.25.

Water is pumped from Ogallala aquifer, Static water level is around 300 ft deep. Most wells are 400-600 ft. deep, pumping on average about 450 gal/min.
Engines have historically ran on Nat. Gas from the Hugoton Gas Field, but low pressure and Gas Company directives are forcing us to switch to Electric, Diesel or other means.

Water availability is declining, we do not get any or very little recharge in the aquifer area we are located in.

We have learned to grow crops with less and less water, but facing reality that our future is limited in this area to be able to economically pump water much longer growing commodity crops.
